The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano (internal code F139) is Ferrari's 2-seat Gran Turismo flagship model, replacing the 575 M Maranello in 2006 as a 2007 model. The 599 GTB debuted at the Geneva Motor Show on February 28, 2006. Styling of the 599 GTB was handled by Pininfarina, under the direction of Ferrari stylist, Frank Stephenson. It is named for its total engine displacement (5999 cc), Gran Turismo Berlinetta nature, and the Fiorano Circuit test track used by Ferrari.

Engine

Tipo F133F 6.0 L (5999 cc) V12 engine produces a maximum 620 PS (456 kW/612 hp) , making it the most-powerful series production Ferrari road car. Its 608 N·m (448 ft·lbf) of torque will also be a high for Ferrari's GT cars. Most of the modifications to the engine were done to allow it to fit in the Fiorano's engine bay (the original Enzo version could be taller since the mid-mounted position allowed it to be so). The company claims a top speed in excess of 330 km/h (205 mph) , 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds ,^[2] and 11.0 seconds to 200 km/h (124 mph) .^[3]

The first publicly recorded crash of a 599 GTB occurred when Car and Driver writer Aaron Robinson crashed one into the retaining wall of the Passo della Cisa in Italy, a few meters from a monument to Enzo Ferrari (for his finishing fourth in a 1919 hill climb on that same road). The car suffered only minor damage to the front right fender, and Robinson and photographer Mike Valente were able to drive it back to the factory.

Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has also crashed his 599 GTB in November 2007.

To market the 599 GTB in the Americas, Ferrari embarked on a 20,000-mile (32,000 km) trek from Brazil to New York in two cars. The two cars drove through 16 countries and had minimal (mainly suspension) changes made to the mechanicals.

Evo Magazine named the 599 GTB as the Car of the Year for 2006 despite strong competition from rivals Porsche and Lamborghini and other high-performance cars. The Stuttgart marque has been an evo Car of the Year favorite winning in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2004. Even with the release of the brilliant 911 Turbo (997), it was denied from the list because the 911 GT3 (997) was considered more impressive. Notably, previous GT3s have won the eCOTY in '99 and '03, making the current car a fierce contender for the title. The Porsche came in second with 94.8 points just behind the 599 with 95.4 points. Lamborghini came in third with the redesigned and more powerful Murciélago LP640 garnering 93.4 points. The three supercar marques were clear front-runners with a wide gap ahead of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (89.6), Lotus Elise S (89.3), Jaguar XKR (87.0), Renaultsport Mégane (86.2), Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG (85.4) and Aston Martin DB9 Sports Pack (84.4).

Top Gear Magazine also named the 599 GTB as the Supercar of the Year 2006. However, the Jaguar XK was named overall Car of the Year chosen from the winners of several categories.

Although Ferrari estimated a 0–100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds, tests have achieved a better time. During a track test, Evo Magazine achieved a time of 3.5 seconds and lapped the Bedford Autodrome in 1.23.10, making it faster than the Ascari KZ1, the Porsche 997 Turbo and 996 GT3 RS, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo '04, and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. However, it was still slower than the Gallardo SE ('06) and three other supercars. Motor Trend timed an even better 0–100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds with a Ferrari test driver.

Road & Track also timed the 0–60 mph time at 3.2 seconds in a road test which appeared in the May 2007 issue.^[6]

Autocar UK had a comprehensive 599 GTB review which appeared in the May 16, 2007 issue.^[7]

The 599 GTB is also the first Ferrari ever to come with an iPod connection as standard.^[8]

The 599 GTB manufacturing process and the Maranello plant were featured on National Geographic Channel's series Ultimate Factories in 2006.

Entah kapan tepatnya, tapi beberapa bulan lalu saya mendapat telepon dari seseorang yang mengaku tinggal di Yogyakarta. Ia, yang ternyata seorang publisher AdSense, dengan sedikit panik, menanyakan bagaimana cara mencairkan cek dari Google AdSense yang baru saja ia terima dan apakah menggunakan jasa-jasa pencairan instan tersebut aman atau tidak. Setelah sedikit bercakap, ternyata kepanikannya tersebut dikarenakan minggu depan adiknya harus membayar kuliah dan satu-satunya harapan solusi ada pada selembar cek dari Citibank New York. Syukurlah, beberapa hari kemudian rekan tersebut memberi kabar bahwa cek telah cair dengan selamat dan pendidikan adiknya pun ikut terselamatkan.

Ada satu kisah lagi.

Minggu lalu, rekan lain jauh-jauh berkunjung dari Malang. Ia baru saja keluar dari pekerjaannya dan mulai menekuni bisnis internet, termasuk AdSense. Yang menarik adalah, pekerjaan lamanya menuntutnya untuk sedikit banyak masuk ke dalam dunia “gelap”. Pertentangan batin antara moral dan kebutuhan hidup akhirnya terpecahkan setelah ia mengenal bisnis internet. Ya, seperti disebutkan di atas, rekan Ngalam ini kemudian berhenti dari pekerjaan lamanya dan memilih untuk berbisnis internet. “Cari duit dari bisnis yang jauh dari maksiat“, begitu kira-kira alasannya.

Dua cerita tersebut jelas bukan cerita langka. Banyak guliran kisah lain yang berhubungan dengan AdSense dan bisnis internet.

Dari yang sekedar menambah uang saku, membiayai pernikahan, membayar hutang orang tua, hingga membiayai pengobatan dirinya (bukan orang Indonesia sih, tapi merupakan contoh yang paling tepat untut kasus tersebut) atau saudaranya.

Sungguh naif sekali jika ada yang mengatakan bahwa mencari uang dari AdSense adalah pekerjaan orang-orang berduit dan hanya bertujuan untuk memperkaya diri (sengaja tidak saya link karena malas kasih backlink ke orang yang berpendapat seperti itu).

Tapi yang lebih ~~bangsat~~ keterlaluan lagi adalah orang-orang yang dengan sengaja mematikan bisnis internet di Indonesia.

Apabila Anda menganggap metode double reissue sudah cukup jahat, saya yakin Anda akan kaget jika mendengar ada yang dengan sengaja memalsukan cek AdSense (beserta KTPnya) dan mencoba mencairkannya ke salah satu jasa pencairan cek instan!

Mungkin bangsa kita memang jagonya dalah urusan bunuh-membunuh dan khianat-mengkhinati antar sesama. Lha wong gak boleh pinjam handuk saja sahabat karib bisa dibacok, apalagi yang menyangkut masalah duit…

Di luar kesengajaan itu, jumlah pemain AdSense di Indonesia yang di-banned pun semakin banyak. Saya yakin yang menimpa rekan Isnaini beberapa waktu lalu tidak dapat dilupakan dengan mudah oleh semua publisher AdSense.

Terus terang saya setuju dengan pendapat mas Jabier yang menyatakan bahwa banyak publisher AdSense baru yang “salah jalan” dan menganggap bahwa AdSense adalah bisnis main-main. Bisnis instan yang katanya hanya beberapa jam situs web online kita sudah bisa dapat $$$.

Pemicunya? Sekali lagi saya sependapat dengan tudingan kepada penyelenggara seminar dan kursus AdSense serta bisnis internet yang mulai menjamur. Tidak semuanya tentunya, tapi mereka-mereka yang hanya mementingkan gendutnya dompet mereka sendiri dengan menjanjikan instanitas perolehan dolar dari AdSense. Ujung-ujungnya, yang awam pun mengira bahwa click exchange dan click fraud adalah hal yang sudah sewajarnya dilakukan.

Apalagi seminar diimbuhi dengan jargon-jargon hebat ; “Menjaring ribuan dollar dari Adsense !”, “Cara Kaya liwat Google”, “Cara Mudah Berburu Dollar “, “Cara Klik Google Paling Aman”, dll, dll.

Saya sendiri pernah “menyamar” dan mengikuti salah satu kursus AdSense yang diselenggarakan online. Materi-materi awalnya memang standard dan tampak valid. Namun buntutnya, pelajaran tentang cara melakukan pertukaran klik yang baik dan benar.

Mungkin hampir tidak ada yang tahu bahwa saya menyelenggarakan kursus AdSense berbayar, yang jujur saja, peminatnya sangat sedikit. Kenapa? Dari awal saya selalu mengatakan tidak dapat memberikan klaim masalah penghasilan karena bisnis internet itu sendiri tidak semudah membalikkan telapak tangan (untuk saya sekali pun). Selain itu, hampir semua yang berminat untuk mengikuti kursus selalu saya minta untuk terlebih dahulu belajar secara otodidak di blog ini dengan harapan tidak melewatkan artikel ini. Dan sepertinya sukses, yang membaca artikel tersebut semakin banyak dan peserta kursus semakin sedikit, hehehe.

Untuk seminar? Wah, pendapat saya masih sama dengan sebelumnya. Kebanyakan seminar tetap saja menjual janji dan menunjukkan sisi surganya tanpa mengenalkan sudut lain dari yang disebut sebagai “prospek keberhasilan“. Bukan omong kosong karena saya pun terkadang hadir di seminar-seminar tersebut (apalagi kalau gratis, hehehe).

Kembali ke masalah banned dan click fraud, untuk kesekian kalinya saya mendengar rumor masalah rencana Google untuk melakukan massive sweeping bagi publisher AdSense Indonesia. Informasinya belum jelas, walaupun begitu tetap saja membuat makan tak lahap dan tidur tak nyenyak, hehehe. Namun apabila kejadian itu benar-benar terjadi, saya mungkin akan bersikap egois dan berharap bahwa setidaknya account saya aman dari sweeping.

Oke. Saya bohong. Saya juga berharap teman-teman publisher AdSense semua lolos dari razia tersebut. Khususnya semua yang selama ini sudah bersikap fair play terhadap aturan-aturan Google AdSense.

Oleh karena itu mungkin sudah saatnya bagi kita untuk bersikap pro-aktif dalam melindungi dan menjaga kelangsungan bisnis Google AdSense di Indonesia. Hindari melakukan kecurangan dan ingatkan jika ada orang lain yang melakukannya. Jika tidak mempan, laporkan saja kepada pihak Google AdSense. Takut karena ada kemungkinan account Anda diisengi? Tidak perlu karena toh jika sweeping benar-benar terjadi, belum tentu account Anda (dan saya) akan lolos. Jika masih takut, baca artikel ini untuk P3K click fraud.

Grand Prix motorcycle racing

Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix is the premier championship of motorcycle road racing currently divided into three distinct classes: 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Grand prix motorcycles are purpose-built racing machines that are neither available for general purchase nor can be legitimately ridden on public roads; this contrasts with the various production categories of racing, such as the Superbike World Championship, that feature modified versions of road-going motorcycles available to the public.

Overview

A Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix was first organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) in 1949. The commercial rights are owned by Dorna Sports. Teams are represented by the International Road Racing Teams Association (IRTA) and manufacturers by the Motorcycle Sport Manufacturers Association (MSMA). Rules and changes to regulations are decided between the four entities, with Dorna casting a tie-breaking vote. In cases of technical modifications, the MSMA can unilaterally enact or veto changes by unanimous vote among its members.^[1]

There have traditionally been several races at each event for various classes of motorcycles, based on engine size, and one class for sidecars. Classes for 50 cc, 80 cc, 125 cc, 250 cc, 350 cc, and 500 cc solo machines have existed over time, and 350 cc and 500 cc sidecars. Up through the 1950s and most of the 1960s, four-stroke two-stroke engines began to take root in the smaller classes. By the 1970s, two-strokes completely eclipsed the four-strokes. In 1979, Honda made an attempt to return the four-stroke to the top class with the NR500, but this project failed, and in 1983, even Honda was winning with a two-stroke 500. The 50 cc class was replaced by an 80 cc class, then the class was dropped entirely in the 1990s, after being dominated primarily by Spanish and Italian makes. The 350 cc class vanished in the 1980s. Sidecars were dropped from World Championship events in the 1990s (see superside), reducing the field to 125s, 250s, and 500s engines dominated all classes. In the 1960s,

MotoGP, the premier class of GP motorcycle racing, has changed dramatically in recent years. From the mid-1970s until 2002 the top class of GP racing allowed 500 cc with a maximum of 4 cylinders, regardless of whether the engine was a two-stroke or four-stroke. Consequently, all machines were two-strokes, due to the greater power output for a given engine capacity. Some two- and three-cylinder two-stroke 500s were seen, but though they had a minimum-weight advantage under the rules, typically attained higher corner speed and could qualify well, they lacked the power of the four-cylinder machines. In 2002, rule changes were introduced to facilitate the phasing out of the two strokes, probably influenced by what was then seen as a lack of relevance: the last mass-produced 500 cc 2-stroke model had not been available to the public for some 15 years. The rules permitted manufacturers to choose between running two-strokes engines (500 cc or less) or four-strokes (990 cc or less). Manufacturers were also permitted to employ their choice of engine configuration. Despite the significantly increased costs involved in running the new four-stroke machinery, given their extra 490 cc capacity advantage, the four-strokes were soon able to dominate their two-stroke rivals. As a result, by 2003 no two-stroke machines remained in the MotoGP field. The 125 cc and 250 cc classes still consist exclusively of two-stroke machines. In 2007, the MotoGP class had its maximum engine displacement capacity reduced to 800 cc for a minimum of 5 years.

The current racing calendar consists of 18 rounds in 16 different countries (Spain which hosts 3 rounds, Qatar, Turkey, China, France, Italy, Great Britain, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, San Marino, Portugal, Japan, Australia and Malaysia). Exclusive to the MotoGP class, there is also a USA round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California for the 800 cc class only. In 2008 a MotoGP event will be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (all three classes will race), racing counterclockwise on the Formula One track with additional turns directly after the pit area bypassing the banking turn one of the oval track. Also because of the race being run counterclockwise on what is normally a clockwise track, the run off areas have seen significant modification.

The grid is composed of three columns (four for the 125cc and 250cc classes) and contains approximately 20 riders. Grid positions are decided in descending order of qualifying speed, the fastest on the 'pole' or first position. Races last approximately 45 minutes, each race a sprint from start to finish without pitting for fuel or tires.

Tire selection is critical, usually done by the individual rider based on bike 'feel' during practice, qualifying and the pre-race warm-up laps on the morning of the race, as well as the predicted weather. The typical compromise is between grip and longevity--the softer and 'grippier' the tire, the more quickly it wears out; the harder and less grippy, the more likely the tire is to last the entire race. Conserving rubber throughout a race is a specific talent winning riders acquire. Special 'Q' or qualifying tires of extreme softness and grip are typically used during grid-qualifying sessions, but they last typically no longer than one or two laps, though they may deliver higher qualifying speeds. In wet conditions, special tires ('wets') with full treads are used, but they suffer extreme wear if the track dries out.

New tire regulations introduced in 2007 limited the number of tires any rider could use over the practice and qualifying period, and the race itself, to a maximum of 31 tires (14 fronts and 17 rears) per rider . This introduced a problem of tire choice vs. weather (among other factors) that challenges riders and teams to optimize their performance on race day. This factor was greeted with varying degrees of enthusiasm by participants. For 2008 a 'spec' tire rule was being considered, where one brand would serve as a control tire for the whole grid. Bridgestone had dominated in 2007 and Michelin riders Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden, Dani Pedrosa, and Colin Edwards all acknowledged shortcomings in Michelin's race tires relative to Bridgestone in 2007. Rossi, disappointed with and critical of the performance of his Michelin tires, switched to Bridgestones for 2008.

Instead of a 'spec' tire in which all riders use tires from one manufacturer, as is used in World Superbike, the MotoGP rules for 2008 have been amended to allow more tires per race weekend, 18 fronts and 22 rears for a total of 40 tires. The lower number of tires per weekend was considered a handicap to Michelin riders. The only MotoGP team using Dunlops in 2007, Yamaha Tech 3, will not be using them in 2008.

In 2005, a flag-to-flag rule for MotoGP was introduced. Previously, if a race started dry and rain fell, riders or officials could red-flag (stop) the race and either restart or resume on 'wet' tires. Now, if rain falls a white flag is shown, indicating that riders can pit to swap the motorcycle on which they started the race for an identical one, as long as the tires are different (that is, intermediates instead of wets, or slicks instead of wets)[1]. Besides different tires, the wet-weather bikes have steel brake rotors and different brake pads instead of the carbon discs and pads used on the 'dry' bikes. This is because the carbon brakes need to be very hot to function properly, and the water cools them too much. Hence the conventional steel brakes. The suspension is also 'softened' up somewhat for the wet weather.

When a rider crashes, track marshals wave a yellow flag, prohibiting passing in that area; one corner back, a stationary yellow flag is shown and passing in this area of the track is prohibited; if a fallen rider cannot be evacuated safely from the track, the race is red-flagged. Motorcycle crashes are usually one of two types: lowsides and the more dangerous highsides, though increased use of traction control has made highsides much less frequent.

According to one estimate, leasing a top-level motorcycle for a rider costs about 3 to 3.5 million dollars for a racing season.^[2]

Formula One, abbreviated to F1, and in modern times also known as Grand Prix motor racing, is the highest class of open wheeled auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport world's governing body. The "formula" in the name refers to a set of rules to which all participants and cars must conform. The F1 world championship season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held usually on purpose-built circuits, and in a few cases on closed city streets, the most famous of which is the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers and one for constructors.

The cars race at high speeds, up to 360 km/h (225 mph), and are capable of pulling up to 5g in some corners. The performance of the cars is highly dependent on electronics, aerodynamics, suspension and tyres. The formula has seen many evolutions and changes through the history of the sport.

Europe is Formula One's traditional centre; all of the teams are based there and around half the races take place there. In particular the United Kingdom has produced the most number of Drivers' Champions (12), and the vast majority of Constructors' Champions (32). However, its scope has expanded significantly in recent years and Grands Prix are now held all over the world. Events in Europe and the Americas have been dropped in favour of new ones in Bahrain, China, Malaysia and Turkey, with Singapore scheduled to hold the first night race in 2008 and India being added to the schedule starting in 2010. Of the eighteen races in 2008, nine are outside Europe.

It is a massive television event, with millions of people watching each race worldwide. As the world's most expensive sport,^{[citation needed]} its economic effect is significant, and its financial and political battles are widely observed. On average about 55 million people all over the world watch Formula One races live. Several teams have gone bankrupt or been bought out by other companies since 2000.

The sport is regulated by the FIA. Formula One's commercial rights are vested in the Formula One Group.
